Why visit

The Red House is one of the most recognisable pieces of domestic architecture in Vaduz. Its bright gabled façade, attached stone tower and vineyard setting form a very different picture of the capital from the formal government and museum buildings below. It is principally an exterior landmark rather than a conventional visitor attraction, but the walk through the upper residential and vineyard area reveals how quickly Vaduz changes from compact civic centre to cultivated hillside.

History

The property incorporates historic fabric that developed over several centuries. It became associated with the Rheinberger family in the nineteenth century, and later alterations produced the characteristic combination of red-painted house, tower and vineyard buildings visible today.
