A compact UNESCO-listed town square framed by colourful Renaissance and Baroque gabled houses, ponds and a chateau. After a medieval fire, Telč was reshaped by Renaissance rebuilding while retaining its older street plan and defensive ponds. It is included because it adds a distinctive experience to a realistic Telč or regional itinerary rather than acting as a filler stop.
