Czechia’s highest mountain landscape, protecting alpine tundra, forests, glacial valleys and a dense network of marked trails. Protected as a national park since 1963, the Krkonoše preserve rare high-elevation habitats and cultural landscapes around Czechia’s highest peaks. It is included because it adds a distinctive experience to a realistic Vrchlabí or regional itinerary rather than acting as a filler stop.
