The historic heart of Prague, centred on the Old Town Hall, Astronomical Clock, Týn Church and a ring of historic façades. The square developed as Prague’s medieval market centre. The astronomical clock dates from the early fifteenth century and remains one of Europe’s best-known medieval timepieces. It is included because it adds a distinctive experience to a realistic Prague or regional itinerary rather than acting as a filler stop.
