History

A resistance museum was established in Esch-sur-Alzette in the post-war period to preserve memory of opposition to Nazi occupation and the experiences of Luxembourg’s population during the Second World War. The institution later underwent major redevelopment and broadened its interpretation, reopening under the name National Museum of Resistance and Human Rights.
