Almindingen and Ekkodalen gives travellers a concrete way to understand part of Bornholm. A large central Bornholm forest containing rocky terrain, lakes and the Ekkodalen rift valley. A visit is built around Ekkodalen rift valley, Woodland trails, Rocky Bornholm landscape. The site has enough substance to justify planned time and is practical to combine with other places around Aakirkeby, which makes it useful both for a first visit and for a more balanced Denmark journey.

History
The forest reflects natural woodland, former common land and later forestry; Ekkodalen follows fractured granite geology.
