Sant Climent de Pal combines strong Romanesque architecture with a village context that remains easy to understand. The tall bell tower, stone nave and compact settlement show how a parish church acted as both landmark and community centre in a side valley. Interior furnishings add later layers without obscuring the medieval structure. Pal also provides a useful western counterpart to churches in Canillo and Encamp, allowing comparison of similar Romanesque forms across different parishes and mountain settings.

History
