Bunk'Art 1

Bunk’Art 1 is the larger and more immersive of Tirana’s bunker museums, extending through many underground rooms beneath the Dajti area. It covers wartime, dictatorship and daily life through historical displays and art installations.

History

The vast anti-nuclear shelter was built for Albania’s political and military leadership during the communist period. Its conversion into a museum opened a formerly secret site and made the bunker system visible to the public.
