    Paide Castle and Vallimägi

    Paide’s castle hill provides a concise introduction to the strategic centre of Järva County. Earthworks and surviving masonry show the footprint of the medieval stronghold, while the reconstructed Vallitorn gives the site a clear vertical landmark and houses historical interpretation. The hill is closely integrated with the modern town, so the visit can extend into Paide’s civic centre without extra travel.
