Pleven Panorama
Pleven Panorama uses a form of historical display very different from a conventional museum. The large circular painting, combined with modelled foreground terrain, places the viewer inside a constructed battlefield scene and makes the scale of the siege easier to grasp. It is especially useful after Shipka because both sites explain different strategic parts of the same war. The museum also illustrates how Bulgaria commemorated 19th-century liberation history during the late 20th century.
